Formed over 20 years ago and still blowing strong. The Phoenix New Orleans Parade Band draws upon an enormously eclectic repertoire to evoke the sounds of the streets of New Orleans. Ragtime, Spirituals, Early foot-tapping Jazz, Marches and Rhythm 'n'Blues all feature!
The band never fails to Generate an Entertaining, Energetic and Visually arresting Show, ideal for Galas and Jazz Festivals and if you want your Corporate Event to really go with a bang, then this really is the band!
This band is frequently engaged to provide Jazz music at New Orleans Style Funerals. Often this will be for a life-long Jazz fan, but also where relatives simply wish for the occasion to be a real Celebration of the Life of the Deceased.
It is usually possible for this to be arranged at any church, cemetery or crematorium. Indeed the band has a great working relationship with a number of establishments and funeral directors and we are willing to travel anywhere within the UK!
The band is renowned for being entirely flexible in its approach to such an occasion. Attired in authentic New Orleans Brass Band uniform, we are able to advise on a selection of appropriate music, such as hymns, spirituals and jazz favourites, but are completely happy to take requests, perhaps for that special tune that has always meant so much!
